The PDA or Personal Digital Assistant is a hand held computer. This phone had all of the capabilities of a regular PDA, but also included telephoneand texting features, it also has an extra perk of being able to be hooked up to a persons personal computer. This allows the owner to transfer data back and forth. Not only can you transfer it, but you can also view it on your PDA, unlike if you were to use a disk or memory card. The Communicator was offered by Nokia, and soon became the world's best selling PDA. It is more common now for a PDA to be a smart phone. A couple of the more popular brands offered by companies now are, the RIM Blackberry, Apple iphone and Nokia N-series. One feature that has been added that many people like, is the PDA camera phone. These PDA Camera phones have good clarity, and make it possible for the user to take pictures of 2D items. For the business minded person that is extremely important. When searching for your new PDA camera phone, make sure you do not mix it up with a regular cell phone. This will hurt you in the end, since a cell phone will not have the capabilities to complete the tasks you need in either work or home settings. Prices for these devices ranged anywhere from three hundred dollars up to a thousand dollars depending on what the users needed it to do. Typically the more memory a phone had, the more it cost.
